Rita H. Alderman, 83, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Wise Alderman; son, Reggie Alderman; parents, George Wilson and Daisy Lee Henley. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-laws, Patricia and Barry Hicks, and Barbara and Michael Howlett all of Hillsville; brother, Clarence Henley of Galax; three grandchildren and spouses, Trina and Mitch Crouse, Nicholas Howlett and Jessica Stone, Bernadette and Eric Moore; three great grandchildren, Corey Crouse, Taylor Crouse, and Malachi Shuman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Alderman family.
