Ricky Dean Holcomb, 54 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Mr. Holcomb was born in Carroll County on February 18, 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Holcomb and a sister, Roxann Mabe. Survivors include the love of his life, Ellen Sawyers; his mother, Betty Fuller Holcomb of Fancy Gap; brothers and sisters and spouses, Bobby and Ellen Holcomb of Hillsville, Tony and Melissa Holcomb of Hillsville, Mark Holcomb of Hillsville, Terry Holcomb of Fancy Gap, Kathy Holcomb and Josh Davis of Hillsville, and Nancy and Tim Morris of Hillsville; brother-in-law, Bernard Mabe of Hillsville; nieces and spouses, Kristina and Mike Durnil, Kodie White, Kasey and Brian Moser, and Kaitlyn Holcomb; nephews, Austin Holcomb and Skyler Morris; and five great nieces. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
