Richard Raymond White, Sr., 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. Mr. White was born in Carroll County to the late Orvin and Edith Mae Ogle White. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Esther F. White and two brothers.

Survivors include special friend, Zula Coleman; daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Stanley Edwards of Fancy Gap; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Dana White of Hillsville and Richard and Lawana White of Newport News; brother, Ralph White of Hillsville; sisters, Virginia Thomas of Kernersville, NC and Doris Fleming of Hillsville; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Liberty Hill Cemetery at 9:30 with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
