Richard Lee Latta, 57, of Dugspur, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home. Mr. Latta was born in Greensboro, NC on March 24, 1957. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Barbara Latta. Survivors include his father Irvin Latta of Dugspur; mother Julia Pendergrass; and siblings, Kim McDonald of Atlanta, GA, Keith Latta of Liberty, NC, and Vicky Latta of Randleman, NC. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Chapel of Forbis and Dick Funeral Service at 1118 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC at 2:00 PM with Dr. Tommy Mason officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. A second memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville, VA at 2:00 PM with Mr. J.D. Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, May 10, 2014 one hour prior to the service. Flowers are appreciated; however, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local homeless shelter. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
