Richard A. Bobbitt, 61 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Twin County Regional Hospital.  Mr. Bobbitt was born in Maryland to the late Roscoe Cornett and Janet Lee Todd Bobbitt.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Billings; and nephew, Kyle Brandon Billings.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. Bobbitt; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sasha Bobbitt, Jr. and Joshua Lee Bobbitt; sisters and brother-in-law, Sherry (Sissy) and Kyle Billings and Patricia (Patty) Davis; brother-in-law, Bobby Dunford; sister-in-law, Linda Dunford; special niece, Helen Grove; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
