Rex Edward Smith, 51, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Mr. Smith was born in Surry County, NC to the late Coy Lee and Elizabeth Jane Self Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Donna McMillian Smith of the home; sons, Cory Lee Smith of Galax and Chase Edward Smith of Hillsville; sisters, Connie Carter of Winston Salem, NC and Rhonda Riggs of High Point, NC; and brother, Richard Danley of Lexington, NC.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
