Rex Bowman, 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Bowman was born in West Virginia to the late Yancy & Eithel Weddle Bowman. He is survived by his wife Vida Bowman of the home; brother & sister-in-law Donald & Ala Deane Bowman of Laurel Fork; and sisters-in-law Stella McGrady of Galax, Velma Horton of Hillsville and Hazel Horton of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Bluemont Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stewart Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
