On May 7, 2009, Reva Joyce Hill Horton, WALKED through the gates of heaven into the arms of her heavenly Father and the loving embrace of her earthly father Fulton Hill.

Reva, age 60 of Hillsville, born March 16, 1949, leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years Roger Horton of the home; Revas mother, Esther Hill, Hillsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Roger Neitzke, Hillsville and Norene and Johnnie Pilkins, Galax; four brothers and sisters-in-law Curtis and Marlene Hill, Allan and Judy Hill, all of Mt. Airy, Jerry and Bonnie Hill, Indian Valley, Virgil Hill, Hillsville; sister-in-law Linda Lankford, Meadows of Dan; and three brothers-in-law and spouses, Elden and Phyllis Horton, Joe and Judy Horton, all of Hillsville and Billy and Robin Horton-Gregg, Hancock, New Hampshire. Revas also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Reva to heaven were her father Fulton Hill; brother Odell Hill; sister Loretta Hill; maternal grandparents Auvil and Emmaline Combs; and paternal grandparents John T. and Susie Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Horton and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
