Reed Horton, 64 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Horton was born in Carroll County to the late Walter Roscoe & Louise Shumate Horton. Mr. Horton is survived by his wife, Patsy N. Horton, of the home; Three sons & daughters-in-law Shannon R. Horton, Woodlawn; Eric & Shannon Horton, Hillsville; Anthony & Misty Horton, Fancy Gap; three sisters & brothers-in-law Mamie & Andy Sawyers, Fancy Gap; Virginia & Allen Humphrey, Hillsville; Mary & Joe Marshall, Woodlawn; the grandsons, Adam Horton, Cameron Horton, Ethan Horton, several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady is serving the family.
