Reba Webb Goad, aged 95, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was born on February 10, 1913 in the Freemont Community of Carroll County to Steve and Lura Ada Quesenberry Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Early Goad; two sisters, Vida Salmons and Mabel Montgomery; one brother Rush Webb; and a grandson, Jonathan Roberts. Mrs. Webb is survived by daughters and son-in-law Ruby Goad of Hillsville, VA, and Janet & Ricky Hill of Galax, VA; sons and daughters-in-law Eldon & Joyce Goad of Livonia, MI and Earl & Linda Goad of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren and spouses Steve & Tammi Ozaistowicz of Holland, MI; Dawn Ozaistowicz Chappell of Wytheville, VA; Melissa Roberts of Christiansburg, VA; Sarah & Gary Johnson of Martinsville, VA; Lori & Tom Matthey of Bartlett, IL; Mark & Lisa Goad of Greer, SC; Dean Goad of Redford, MI; Roxanne Goad of Livonia, MI; Aaron Goad of Fairfax, VA; eighteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Opal McPeak Goad of Woodlawn, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends including Doug Crosswhite and Betty Mabe.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel with Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will be in the John Patterson Webb cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM immediately preceding the service at the funeral home, and at the home of Ricky and Janet Hill at 325 Fox Run in Galax on Monday evening.
