Raymond D. Sutphin, 79, of Laurel Fork, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie & Sadie Sutphin; sister Charlene Sutphin; brothers Irvin Sutphin and Jack Sutphin. Mr. Sutphin is survived by his wife Kathleen Bowman Sutphin of the home; daughter & son-in-law Jan & Dan Puckett of Laurel Fork; son & daughter-in-law Doug & Karen Sutphin of Keyport, NJ; brothers & sisters-in-laws Clyde & Betty Sutphin of Hillsville, Larry & Brenda Sutphin of South Mills, NC, and Wayne Sutphin of Newport News, VA. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Gleason Worrell and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Worrell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
