Ralph E. Phillips, 65 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his home. Mr. Phillips was born in Carroll County to the late Giles & Edith Marshall Phillips. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Archie Dean Phillips and a niece Sabrina Phillips Roberts. He is survived by his brothers Clinton Phillips of Hillsville, Roger Phillips of Hillsville, and Donnie Wayne Phillips of Woodlawn; sisters & brother-in-law Virginia Ann & Artie Gallimore of Cana and Annie May Phillips of Hillsville; nephews Harley Phillips and Deter Phillips; and great nephew Bradley James Roberts.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Nathan Montgomery officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
