Ralph Wayne Dalton, 82 of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Dalton was born in Fancy Gap, Virginia on August 7, 1941 to the late Tommy Vernon and Mamie Sue Combs Dalton.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Don Dalton and Ray Dalton.

Survivors include his wife, Modena Burnett Dalton; children, Ricky Dalton (Cissy), Renee Thomas (Ricky), Robin Sumner (Curt), and Jamey Dalton (Kristi); siblings, Randall Dalton (Diane), Roger Dalton, Lonnie Dalton (Margaret), Iva Lou Bunn, Fern Shockley (Jack), and Ina Mae Jacobs; grandchildren, Jason Dalton (Stephanie), Shane Brim (Misty), Dena Sheets (Dustin), Melissa Rodriguez (Brad), Lynette Thomas, Rebecca Harris (Justin), Sara Chiariello (Jeff), Laura Pack (Phillip), Sam Sumner (Brittany), Tabitha Dalton, Matt Wright, Kirsten Wallace (Joe), and Eric Wright; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
