Rachel May Thomas, 67 of Hillsville, passed away on January 01, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Orbie Hester Keith Reeves; father William McKinley Reeves;husband James June Thomas; daughter Teresa Jane White; brother Donnie Lee Joyce; sister Linda Marie Williams. She is survived by sons & daughter-in-law Wayne & Sherry Thomas, Ronald Creswell; daughters & son-in-law Scarlett Sankey, Nancy & Michael Goad; brothers & sisters-in-law Bobby & Doris Rives, David & Sherry Reeves, Donnie Reeves,Wayne Joyce, Louise and Lucy Thomas; sisters & brothers-in-law Mary Cloud, Betty & Johnny Miller, Lou Ellen & Bill Goad, Mary & Allen Lineberry, Joan Lawson, and Judy & Bobby Draper; special friends Charles & Phyllis Oakley; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 03, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel with Rev. Harold Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady chapel is serving the family.
