Rachel B. Earnhardt, age 88, of Galax, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Stokes County, NC to the late Pete and Mary Bondurant. In addition to her parents Mrs. Earnhardt was also preceded in death by her husband William C. Earnhardt and a son Clifford Jerry Earnhardt. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Susan M. and Jimmy Haynes of Galax; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and the special, kind, caring staff at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Fellowship Wesleyan Church in Hillsville at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
