Princess Jennings, 91, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County to the late Victor Leroy and Mary Bertha McGrady Dickerson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jennings was also preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Jennings; three brothers, Charlie, Roy and Eli Dickerson; three sisters, Fannie Nester, Nancy Mae Horton, and Vergie Barnes; and great grandson, Tyler Jennings. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Jennings and Diane Pritchard of Statesville, Terry Jennings and Sonya Jennings of Fairlawn, and Gary Jennings of Fairlawn; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Debbie and her late sister, Carolyn for all the love and care they gave to Princess. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Elmon Thompson and Rev. Ricky Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
