Phyllis Jean Grubb Shockley, age 79, entered into rest Wednesday August 6, 2008 in Tallahassee, Florida. Phyllis was born in Welch, West Virginia, and a longtime redident of Tallahassee. She was a homemaker and a member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church. Mrs. Shockley was preceded in death by her parents Glen & Mary Seagle Grubb; her husband Clinton Shockley. Phyllis is survived by two sons, Rev. Michael D. Shockley, Tallahassee, Florida,and Wayne C. Shockley, Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters Donna Leigh Burch, Ormond Beach, Florida, Cindy Jean Wingler, Tallahassee, Florida; two half sisters Norma Miller, Vickie Langkam, both from Kalamazoo, Michigan; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ty Harrison oficiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery.
