Phyllis M. Burcham, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Wheatland Retirement Center. Mrs. Burcham was born in West Virginia to the late Walter & Gertrude Keatley Mandeville. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William H. Burcham, three brothers & two sisters. She is survived by her children William (Bill) Burcham, Jr. & wife Diane of Hillsville, Joe Burcham & wife Pam of Concord, NC, Peggy Crosswhite & husband Doug of Hillsville, and David Burcham & wife Allison of Pinnacle, NC; sister & brother-in-law Sylvia & Leonard Beckett of Princeton, WV; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Twin County Hospice P.O. Box 106 Galax, Virginia 24333. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
