Peggy Ruth Reece, 85 of Dugspur, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows.  Ms. Reece was born in Coalwood, West Virginia to the late Posey M. and Clonie Phillips Reece.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Sutphin; and nephews, Michael Sutphin, John Sutphin, and William Sutphin.

Survivors include her daughter, Cassandra West; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Elidia Deleon and Mary Brion.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the staff at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows for their wonderful care.  They would also like to thank Medi-Hospice, especially Grace, for all she did and her loving care.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brett Carrick officiating.  Burial will follow in the Amos Quesenberry Cemetery on Indian Valley Post Office Road.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
