Peggy Ruth Nester, 62 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home. Ms. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Hassel Rush and Vida Gertrude Horton Goad.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Dutch Anderson of Hillsville and Tonya and Anthony Trent of Woodlawn; brother, Ronnie Goad of Hillsville; sisters, Wilma Cobler of Fancy Gap, Wanda Williams of Galax, and Pauline Bowman of Hillsville; grandchildren, Drake Webb and Willow Webb; step grandchildren, Cory Anderson and Preston Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

A private inurnment will be held in the Isaac Banks Cemetery at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
