Pearl Edwards Spraker, 86 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Spraker was born in Carroll County to the late Sidney Montie and Alma Mabe Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Horace Spraker; sister and brother-in-law, Wallene and Earl Hill; and nieces, Sharon Hill and Elsie Wright.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Argie Nell and Lewis McGrady of Galax; nephews, Jeff McGrady, David Hill, and Ted Spraker; nieces, Jane Patton, Pearl T. Spraker, and Anita McAllister; and special caregivers, Shirley Carico, Juanita Brown, and Bobbie Fender.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Shiloh United Methodist Church at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ray Bolen, Rev. Terri Gregory, and Colonel Jeff McGrady, Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from2:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shiloh United Methodist Church Youth Group, c/o Amy Hash 564 Goodspur Road, Hillsville, VA 24343 or to Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department 115 Fulcher Street, Hillsville, VA 24343.
