Paula Fay Cox, 64 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Cox was born in Richland, Missouri to the late Lee Roy and Sadie Crossland West. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-grandchild, Richard Largen and siblings, Roy West, David West, Doug West and Robin West.

Survivors include her husband, Darby Cox; daughters, Paula Kay Shumate (Steve) and, Tammy Lyn Largen (Darrell), and Tabitha Manuel (Billy); son, Joey Nuckolls; grandchildren, Morgan Shumate, Caitlin Powell, and Chance Powell; step-grandchildren, Emily Largen and Bret Largen step-children, Beth Inman and Shannon Cox; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Kay McKinnon, Rhonda Henderson, Lorna West, and Donnie West; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the James Gardner Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
