Paula Delores Carter, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Carter was born in Dugspur, VA to the late Emmons Glenn and Lura Ann Dalton Nester. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Errol Hartsel Carter; sister, Modine Dalton; brother, Avery Redell Nester; and granddaughter, Rachel Cox.

Survivors include her daughter, Wava Cox; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Carrie Carter; grandchildren, Branson Carter, Jenna Theut (Matthew), and Grace Cox.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Charles Nester Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Carter officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
