Paul E. Rippey, 83, of Woodlawn passed away on May 25, 2008 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Ruth Rippey. Mr. Rippey is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Janet & Bill Robinson of Woodlawn and Joyce & Danny Yates of Traphill, NC; brothers & sisters-in-law Glenn & Louise Rippey of Rural Hall, NC and Rupert & Virginia Rippey of Mt. Airy, NC; grandchildren & spouses Dawn & Stacy Warren, Michelle Lowe, and Duane & Maria Dickens; great-grandson Dillon Warren; and special friend Wilma Rakes.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Rev. Norman Goad, Elder Edward Bowman, and Rev. Dewey Felts officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the home at anytime and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Twin County Hospice or Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Fund c/o Russell Branscome.
