Patty Jean Sutphin Stanley, 86 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at her home.  Mrs. Stanley was born in Floyd County, Virginia to the late William Tazwell and Myrtle Ocie Moles Sutphin.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eldon Ray Stanley; brothers, Ronnie Sutphin, Arvin Sutphin, Lesten Sutphin, Winford Sutphin, Wayne Sutphin, and Nulan Sutphin; and sisters, Oleta Keith, Bernice Kimble, Florris Poff, and Gwyna Hylton.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Charles Stanley of Laurel Fork, Jeffrey and Glynda Stanley, Lisa and James Foley, and Patricia and James Goad; grandchildren and spouses, Rusty and Sarah Stanley, Carrie and Nathan Harris, Robert and Bethany Stanley, and Erika Goad; great-grandchildren, Allison and Eli; great-great-grandchild, Jamison; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Linda Quesenberry and Shirley Turner.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and staff and Barbara Stanley.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice or St. Judes.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Pastor Murray Agee and Pastor Danny Phillips officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
