**UPDATE**

**The visitation for Mrs. Ruiz, scheduled for Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and the funeral service scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 2021 has been cancelled.  A private graveside service for family only will be held at Mountain Plains Cemetery.**

Patricia Yvonne Worrell Ruiz, 58 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Duke Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Ruiz was born in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Elmer Jefferson Worrell and Lyndell Carylon Lemons. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Padron and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rosa Garcia and Benigo Ruiz.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Ramon Ruiz; sons, Jose Ramon Ruiz, Jr. and Jessica and Carlos Daniel Ruiz and Victoria; sisters, Sherry Rosas and Sandra Arvizo and Leon; grandchildren, Gabriel Ruiz, Mateo Ruiz, Everett Ruiz, William Ruiz, and Olivia Ruiz; step-father, Roger Lemons; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastors Shirley Alley and Wilma Carraccoo officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
