Patricia Darlene Montgomery Dalton, 79 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke.  Mrs. Dalton was born in Pulaski, Virginia on October 23, 1945.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayburn O'dell Dalton; father, Dewey Morris Montgomery; daughter, Teresa Thompson-Bond; and brother, Gerald Montgomery.

Survivors include her children, Bobby Thompson (Sherry), Stephen Dalton (Christy), and Kevin Dalton (Molly), and; mother, Odessa Montgomery; siblings, Michael Montgomery (Linda), Nathan Montgomery (Beth), and Ricky Montgomery; grandchildren, Elijah Bond, Bobby Thompson (Jennifer), Isaiah Thompson (Nichole), Brooklyn Killough, Madisyn Dalton Burcham (Garrett), Brady Dalton, Jocie Kate Dalton, Morgan Dalton, Carrie Sage Dalton, and Knox Dalton; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Victory Way Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Pastor Nathan Montgomery officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  A private graveside will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
