Patricia "Pat" Gail Smythers, 65 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at her home.  Ms. Smythers was born in Austinville, Virginia to the late William and Verna Smythers.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Dalton.

Survivors include her significant other, Dale Coulson; son, Travis Coulson; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Roger Burnett; brothers and sisters-in-law, James "Butch" and Linda Smythers, Harvey and Carol Smythers, Wayne and Debbie Smythers and Kenneth and Janice Smythers; sisters and brother-in-law, Joye Harmon, Shirley and Billy Walls, and Betty Austin; granddaughters, Madaisa Coulson and Trinity Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM the Shupe Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
