Patricia Evelyn Quesenberry Cox, 76 of Hillsville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C. Pat was born in Bluewell, WV to the late James Jackson "Jack" Quesenberry and Margaret Jaquita Aliff Quesenberry. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dallas Ray Cox in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Bob Dauwan, Carson Moore, Mac Cox, Victor Cox, Melvin Funkhouser and Gary Dalton; nephew, J. C. Moore; and niece, Angie Hill.

Pat is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa C. Dalton and Sanford of Hillsville VA, and Sheila C. Newman and Warren, of Dugspur VA; granddaughters, Makayla Renae Newman and Katlyn Breanne Newman, and grand-dogs, Bo and Roxie; sisters, Jaquita Ann Moore of Front Royal, VA, Regina Danford Dalton of Wardensville, WV, and Frances Renae Funkhouser of Front Royal, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Woodrow Quesenberry and Mary of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, and Russell Lee Quesenberry and Susan of Smith Mountain Lake, VA; brother, James Leroy Quesenberry, of Hillsville, VA.; sister-in-law Betty Dauwan of TN, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Windel and Jean Cox of Radford, VA, sister-in-law, Carolyn Cox of Culpeper, VA, brothers-in-law, Gerry Cox of Pulaski, VA and Gordon Cox, of Charlotte NC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy Garrett and Bobby of Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat lived a very active life. She was a dedicated member of Sylvatus Christian Church most of her life. She was also involved in the Carroll County Agriculture Fair, Carroll County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, and the Dugspur Community Center. She shared her many talents for the good of others. She was a kind, loving and caring person. She will be greatly missed by many who know her.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 Pm with Pastor David Bays and Pastor Brent Carrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Vine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
