Parson Nester, 93, of Austinville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Nester was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Nester. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Edna Mae & John R. Vaughn of Austinville, Jana & Jimmy C. Martin of Bassett, and Myrtle & Freddie McMillan of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law James & Shirley Nester of Wytheville; grandchildren Ralph Vaughn, Travis Vaughn, Patricia Hash, Ronald Fender, Rebecca Phillips, and Brandon McMillan; and great grandchildren Cody Vaughn, Candace Vaughn, Brayden Vaughn, Landon Vaughn, Chris Fender and Chelsea Fender.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday night at the church.
