Otoki "Penny" Mabry passed away April 7, 2021. She came to this country as a military bride with only a small vocabulary in English.  She learned to read and write the language on her own. For Penny, family was the most important thing. She raised 7 children by working in a sewing factory teaching her children hard work and perseverance. Penny studied with the help of a retired teacher to become a citizen of the United States. A strong-willed individual, she did not let the stumbling blocks of life stop her from achieving her goals or from providing for her family.

Survived by daughters and spouses Carol Colley of Blacksburg, VA; Linda Robertson of Arvada, CO; Sandra Mabry and Lee Dycus of Laurel Fork, VA; Joyce and Richard Hanson of Fort Myers, FL; sons and spouses Michael and Jackie Mabry of Lehigh Acres, FL; Jimmie and Sarah Mabry of Fort Myers, FL; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sherman G. Mabry and son Timmie R. Mabry.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM on June 5, 2021 at the Webb Family Cemetery. A reception to visit with family will be held at 1163 Hylton Road, Laurel Fork, VA. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
