Otis Gardner, 87, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Gardner was born in Carroll County to the late, Calvin Luther and Bertha Quesenberry Gardner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Lee Gardner. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Gravley of Hillsville; granddaughter, Amee Gravley of Hillsville; and three great grandchildren, Dakota, Jacob, and McKenzie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. R.J. Buttery officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family. THE VISITATION SCHEDULED FOR MR. GARDNER ON SATURDAY,JANUARY 19,2013 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS ON MONDAY, JANUARY 21,2013 FROM 10:00 AM UNTIL 11:00 AM. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE CONDUCTED MONDAY AT 11:00 A.M.
