Ossie Edwards Horton, 88, of Hillsville passed away on November 6, 2007 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Swanson Horton and her parents, Larkin L. and Mary E. Vass Edwards. Mrs. Horton is survived by daughter Mary A. Horton of Kernersville, NC; son and daughter-in-law Freddie and Marie Horton of Hillsville; brother sister-in-law Larkin G. and Mary Edwards of Baltimore, MD; sister and brother-in-law Violet and Chester Barr of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren and spouses Ava & Joe Porter, Wade Gardner, Lesa Gardner, Katie Gardner, Linda & Scottie Davis, Rex Horton, Jeanie Wright; great grandchildren and spouses Jason & Sherra Price, Julie & Lance Moore, Dougley McCallister, Jayme Marie Wright; and great great grandchildren Piper, Silas, and Jasper Moore, and Ryan Price.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Webb-Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
