Orfie E. Tobler, 74 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Tobler was born in Carroll County to the late Crockett & Mary Easter Tobler. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Brown Marshall Tobler of the home; children & spouses Barbara T. Akers of Floyd; Debbie T. & Anthony Quesenberry of Floyd; Jeffrey B. & Kathy Tobler of Hillsville; Candy T. & Michael Hylton of Laurel Fork; step son & spouse George (G.W.) & Marie Marshall of Meadowview, Va. brothers Lincoln Tobler of Laurel Fork; J.M. Tobler of Dugspur; sisters Novaline Webb of Laurel Fork; Ina Beasley of Laurel Fork; Mintia Ann Knowles of Ararat, Va; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one step grandson also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 16, 2008 at the Gospel Chapel Church in Laurel Fork at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Winston Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Tobler Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
