Opal Stone Horton, 85, of Austinville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1920. She was proceded in death by her husband, Omer Horton, father and mother Pierce & Stella Stone, a brother Clyde Stone, a sister Lois Chapman, and a son-in-law Roger Sharpe. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law Donna & LeRoy Agnew of Patrick Springs, VA, Linda Sharpe of Galax; son and daughter-in-law Barry & Marlene Horton of Charlotte, NC; sisters Clara Gills of Arlington, VA, Kathleen Gravley of Austinville; brothers and sisters-in-law Gilmer D. (Bill) & Gladys Stone of Austinville, Carroll & Joyce Stone of Draper, VA, Eleanor Stone of Wilmington, DE; five grandsons and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Coulson Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Russell Payne, Rev. Enos Griffith, and Rev. Edith Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 20, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coulson Church building fund.
