Opal Horton, 76 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital. Ms. Horton was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Isaac Jefferson and Artie Ethel Dalton Horton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walker Horton and Olin Horton.

Survivors include her niece and spouse, Brenda and Danny Bowman; nephew, Randy Horton; sister-in-law, Becky Horton and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

A private graveside service with burial following will be held at the Bobbitt Quesenberry Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sky View Missionary Baptist Church. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
