Olen Jackson Alexander, 88 of Austinville, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his home.  Mr. Alexander was born in Carroll County to the late William Jackson Alexander and Nellie Etta Frazier Alexander.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Melda H. Alexander; and brother and sister-in-law, Rufus and Lou Alexander.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian S. Alexander; children, Ricky Alexander (Shelbie) and Dawn Meredith (Walter); step-daughter, Sandra Barron; brothers, Lloyd Alexander (Peggy) and Everett Alexander (Beattie); five grandchildren; one-step grandson; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Shorts Creek Church of God at 2:00 PM with David Aker and Lloyd Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Shorts Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
