Ola Mae Myers, 91, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Myers was born in Virginia to the late Thomas Bud and Elsie Helen Smith Goodson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Fulton Myers; sons, Donald Ray Felts and Harvey Eugene Felts; sister, Nora Goodson; and brothers, Alex Goodson and Maynard Goodson. Survivors include children and spouses, Dorothy Woods of Fancy Gap, Virginia Felts of Low Gap, NC, Linda and Joseph Combs of Hillsville, Douglas and Nina Felts of Low Gap, NC, Dale and TJ Felts of Hillsville, and Lester and Thersa Felts of Galax; sisters, Downey Barringer of Low Gap, NC, Anne Snow of Low Gap, NC, and Trustry Ponedixter of North Carolina; brother, Lywood Goodson of Sparta; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Darvel Crotts officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
