Odell Edwards, 88, of Hillsville passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab in Galax. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Loraine Edwards; parents, John Madison and Ethel Odessa Edwards; sister, Ruby Sumner; grandson, Jody Aaron Goad.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-laws, Brenda and James A. Smith of Hillsville, and Nada and Jerry R. Goad of Hillsville; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Frances and Ray Holyfield of Clermont, GA, Laura and Kenneth Doby of Dobson, NC, and Betty and Mack Wright of Low Gap, NC; granddaughter, Julie L. Smith of Henrico, VA.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Semones Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
