Odell Wise Alderman, 80 of Hillsville passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Alderman was preceded in death by his son Reginald Alderman. He is survived by his wife Rita H. Alderman of the home; daughters Patricia Marshall & fianc Barry Hicks of Hillsville and Barbara Howlett & husband Michael of Hillsville; brother Eckman Alderman of Woodlawn; three grandchildren Trina Crouse, Nicholas Howlett and Bernadette Moore; and three great grandchildren Corey Crouse, Taylor Crouse, and Malachi Shuman.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Fellowship Wesleyan Church at 2:00 P.M. with the Pastor Todd Conn officiating. Mr. Alderman will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday night at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
