Dr. Norman Albert Templon Jr., 77, of Winston-Salem NC and Fancy Gap VA, died Sunday, June 15th, 2008 in Charlottesville, VA.

Dr. Templon was born in Shenandoah, VA, Oct. 28, 1930, the son of the late Norman Albert Templon Sr. and Louise Kennedy Templon. Dr. Templon was a graduate of the University of Richmond and the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond VA. His residencies were at Charity Hospital in Louisiana and Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Dr. Templon is survived by his wife, Carole Felton Templon; children Jeffrey Alan Templon of Heemskerk, the Netherlands, Janice Templon Cochran of Clemmons, NC, and Christopher Andrew Templon of Madison, NC; brothers and sisters Phyllis Vivian Wonders, Paul Edward Templon, and Judith Ann Alexander; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, Virginia with Rev. Scott Robertson-Gouge, Rev. Layne Pennington and Mr. Don Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday June 18, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
