Norman Russell Stilwell, 89, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Stilwell was born in Virginia to the late Norman Sylvester and Juanita Mitchell Stilwell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Virginia Stilwell. Survivors include his sister, Rosemary Surratt, of Hillsville; nieces and spouse, Judy Gravley and Sue Lynn and Don Porterfield; nephew and spouse, Jimmy and Jackie Surratt; three great nieces; and two great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Hillsville Christian Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Amanda Hatfield Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
