Norma Ruth Goad, 90 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Norm and Dean Edmonds. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Nelson, Paul, Cecil, Rush and Jack Edmonds and sisters, Mabel Hayes and Ardath Bryant.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Goad; daughters, Brenda Meares (Doug), Crystal Goad, and Rita Biggs (Don); grandchildren, Elizabeth Stringer-Nunley (Michael), Summer Provancha (John), Candace Meares (James) and Mary Plant (Jon), and Matt and Clint Biggs ; great-grandchildren, Molly Plant, Hudson and Luke Provancha, Wyatt Smith; brother, John Edmonds; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Don Biggs officiating. A private graveside service will be held in the C.C. Webb Cemetery. The family requests that all Covid Guidelines regarding mask and social distancing be observed. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
