Nora Wilkerson, mother of Virginia Agnew and Jim Slemp, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Wheatland in Hillsville. She is survived by daughter Virginia Agnew and son-in-law Bob Agnew of Hillsville; son Jim Slemp & daughter-in-law Thelma Slemp of Crest Hill, IL; five grandchildren Bill Agnew, Rob Agnew, Tim Agnew, Mike Slemp and Chris Lucky; eight great grandchildren; sister Emma Richardson of Elizabethon, TN; and four step children Diane, Vondatta, Alford and Wilma.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the C.C. Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. The family expresses a special thanks to the staff and friends at Wheatland and Mountain Valley Hospice for their love, care and consideration and a special thanks for the many answered phone calls that were made night or day.
