Nolan L. Stone, 59 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Stone, Sr.; brother Herman Stone; and sister Nelva Stroupe. Mr. Stone is survived by his wife Karen Stone of the home and special pet Pixie; daughter & son-in-law Kimberly and Eddie Robinson of Woodlawn; granddaughter Kenda Robinson of Woodlawn; grandson Jared Robinson of Woodlawn; mother Vergie Stone of Austinville; brothers and sisters-in-law June and Pat Stone of Austinville, Rufus and Leota Stone of Kent, OH, Archie (Bud) and Phyllis Stone of Akron, OH, Kenneth and Zana Stone of Max Meadows; sisters and brothers-in-law Anna and Willie Robinson of Austinville, Fredia and Boyd Isom of Hillsville, Rebecca (Jewel) and Dennis Melton of Woodlawn; sister-in-law Patsy Stone of Uniontown, OH; brother-in-law Charlie Stroupe of Max Meadows; 17 nephew; 12 nieces; 22 great nephews; 12 great nieces; several great-great nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and spouses Jeff and Lisha Reynolds of Hillsville, Theresa and Martin Goad of Hillsville, Angela Reynolds of Hillsville, Leslie and Kay Reynolds of Athens, WV and Randy Reynolds of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Davis and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
