Noel Wayne Turner, 72 of Laurel Fork, joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at home with family.

Noel was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He dedicated his life to hard work and taking care of those he loved. His faith was strong through his battle with cancer. He fought a good fight with remarkable strength until his last moments with us. His impact on each of us was a blessing and he shall never be forgotten.

Mr. Turner was born in West Virginia to the late Clarence Wilson and Virginia Bell McGrady Turner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Teddy Wilson Turner, Wanda Sue Turner Hawks, and William Ronald (Ronnie) Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Marie Absten Turner; children, Tammy Lynn Marshall (Matthew, Sr.), Gregory Everrette Stover (Pam), and Teddy Noel Turner; grandchildren, Jessica Noel Marshall, Matthew Dwayne Marshall (Victoria), Morgan Paige Stover, Gregory Seth Stover, Dylan Elizabeth Beerman, and Tyler Martin Beerman; and great grandchildren, Noelyn and Hunter.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastors Winston Puckett, Terry McMillan, and Joe Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner-Duncan Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
