Nita Lynn Martin, 90 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Martin was born in Carroll County to the late Claud B. and Marie Payne Stockner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Martin; and siblings, Wilma Caudill, Ruth Banks, Daniel Stockner, Isaac Stockner, C.B. Stockner, Jr., and Bobby Stockner.

Survivors include her sister, Jean Bowman; special nephews, Gary Stockner and Tony Stockner; and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Gladesboro Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM with Earl Caudill and Pastor Bill Heim officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on March 8, 2023 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gladesboro Lutheran Church or to the Gladesboro Cemetery Fund. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
