Nell Lovell Horton, 84, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Nell loved her family, friends and friendships. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Horton: parents, Bert and Ida King Lovell; aunt, Betty King; daughter, Sharon Myers; friend George Edwards. Survivors include her, daughters and sons-in-laws, Joyce and John Levering Sandy and Tyler Rupert all of Springfield, OH; sons and daughter-in-law, David Horton of Meadowview, and Mike and Barbara Horton of Radford, VA four grandchildren, Jessica Price, Elliott Horton, Kyle Rupert, and Jena Myers; five great grandchildren,Kylie Marshall, Owen Horton, Colton Price, Charlee Price, and Claire Horton; son-in-law, Eddie Myers; two nieces, Sue Orr, and Jenette Nevius. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Horton family.
