Nancy McGrady Nester Goad, 89 of, Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Hobert and Myrtie E. Dickerson McGrady. Along with her parents Mrs. Goad is preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin Brice Nester and Russell Goad, her son and stepson, Danny Nester and Bobby Goad and also her Siblings, Clayton McGrady, Hulen Banks, Herbert McGrady, L.D. McGrady, Jack McGrady and Bonnie Vass.

Mrs. Goad is survived by her daughter, Regina Nester, stepdaughter, Lora Goad, four step-grandchildren and several great-step grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law's, Lois Jean McGrady, Vesta Lee McGrady, Sylvia Hamill, and Sandra McGrady and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elders Ronald Bowman and Jerry Nester officiating. A burial will take place in the Goad Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
