Nancy L. Dalton, 66, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Roger and Ida Estelle McCormick. Survivors include her husband, Roger E. Dalton of the home; children and spouses, Cheryl and Richard Walker of Hillsville, Mary and Jimmy Bell of Johnson City, TN, and Pam and Jerry Melton of Galax; stepdaughters and spouses, Regina and Mark Farmer of Fries, and Christy and Al Prudencio of Galax; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Jimmy Bowling of Gallup, NM; ten grandchildren and spouses, Christopher and Brittney Walker of Hillsville, Steven and Autumn Walker of Galax, Kayla Walker of Hillsville, Laureen Walker of Hillsville, Brandon and April Shumate of Johnson City, TN, Travis Shumate of Johnson City, TN, Ryan and Alexa Shumate of Wilmington, NC, Brody Bell of Johnson City, TN, Tyler Melton of Galax, and Tanner Melton of Galax; five step grandchildren, Joseph Farmer, Allison Farmer, Noah Prudencio, Maggie Prudencio, and Austin Bell; two great grandchildren, Bella Shumate, and Hannah Walker. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Holder, and Pastor Jimmy Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fairview Baptist Church from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
